Silicon-Based Microresonator Frequency Combs
Prof. Alexander Gaeta, Department of Applied Physics and Applied Mathematics, Columbia University
Microresonator frequency combs have attracted much recent interest due to their potential to enable time and frequency metrology applications in a highly compact and robust platform. I will provide an overview of the underlying principles of such combs and of our work on developing silicon and silicon nitride microresonators for operation from the visible to mid-infrared.
